MEGAN McKenna has been widely praised for her frank and honest post about life after giving birth for the first time.
The ex-Towie star and singer gave birth to baby Landon three weeks ago, and since then has been adjusting to life as a mum.
In a new post on Instagram, Megan was seen lying in bed with a coffee cup in one hand while holding and breast-feeding Landon in the other.
Sitting in just a pair of knickers, Megan is putting on a balancing act with another picture showing her also balancing a takeout sandwich on her knee.
A quick video clip also saw her joke about her “boobs being massive with nipple cream everywhere” as she showed off her postpartum body in a mirror.
In a long caption next to the collection of pics, she declared it was “what her Sundays look like now”, saying it was filled with “feeding, eating cake & trying to sleep when I can”.
“Three weeks of loving you Landon,” she wrote. “Last video is what I look like majority of the time haha. Nipple cream, messy hair and maternity pants. I can proudly say I’m out the other end of the sore nipples, I fed through the cracks. Wow it’s not for the weak.
“But now it’s so much easier and will be so much better for when I’m travelling next year.. I have food on tap 24.7 with no bags or bottles 😅”
“Next mission to complete is getting this routine in place,” she explained. “I’ve been trying to keep the feeds longer and a couple hours apart.
“Feeding on demand was completely killing me off and I started to lose track on everything.
“Also I don’t even think he was crying for food it was more for comfort! I noticed he was hanging onto my boob like a dummy most of the time and not actually feeding. So this way it’s working way better!”
Adding her “belly was healing nicely” Megan added: [I] just feel very run down with lack of sleep. Naps are my saviour right now.
Seriously swollen’ Megan McKenna shows off post-baby body a week after giving birth saying ‘I still look 6 months pregnant’
“He loves the black and white cards, I put them in his crib in the morning, his little eyes taking it all in is the best feeling in the world.”
“Anyway that’s my little update.”
Fans quickly praised the star for her efforts to document the highs and lows of parenting with no filter, congratulating her for a job well done as she navigates her new life.
One follower wrote: “You’re doing soooo well! Breastfeeding it SOO hard. The constant feeding is him putting his orders in for the next day ❤️ soo clever xx”
“So nice to see a celebrity documenting motherhood exactly how it is!” wrote another. “I breastfed my little one for a year. It’s amazing feeling knowing your baby is surviving on just milk that your body has produced! Xx”
“Well done. So refreshing to see what postpartum really looks like,” noted a third.
A fourth also reassured her, telling her: “Your doing amazing and I know it’s sooo hard but on demand feeding is really essential for your milk to come through better. You got this Megan.”
“What a lovely post 😍” noted a fourth. “Don’t worry too much about a routine yet. Just focus on lots of natural light during the day, and darkness at night. He will get into a rhythm really soon xxx”
