Gabby Logan opens up about marriage concerns ahead of more time apart from husband Kenny

Gabby Logan, together with her husband Kenny, has been a beacon of marital stability in the entertainment world, with the couple approaching their 25th anniversary. Despite the demands of their successful careers often keeping them apart, they maintain one of the strongest bonds in the limelight.

Yet, Gabby has confessed that she was once reticent to speak about her marriage, fearing it might curse their happiness. Opening up to The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine, Gabby revealed: “I used to be really nervous talking about it. I thought I’d jinx it.”

She went on to explain the foundations of their enduring partnership: “But we’re very much a team. The key to our relationship is communication, having fun and making time to be together. You can’t be apart all the time and expect everything to be great.”

The couple, who are parents to 19 year old twins Lois and Reuben, make concerted efforts to stay connected despite their schedules. Gabby added: “We are lucky, as we see each other more than people realise. The secret is making an effort.”

Fresh from presenting at the Euros in Germany, Gabby, aged 51, is now gearing up for a stint in Paris to cover athletics at the Olympics. She assures, however, that her family, including Kenny, aged 52, have adapted well to her work-related travel, reports the Express.

The twins are no strangers to globetrotting either, often visiting their mother during her international assignments. Gabby shared with the magazine: “The family have got used to it all. They come out to see me wherever I am.”

When duty calls her away, Gabby immerses herself fully in her professional commitments: “When I’m away I get into my work zone and become entrenched in what I’m doing.”

Yet, she admits that being home can sometimes be more challenging: “It’s harder when you are at home, because you’re at a loose end.”

Gabby has publicly spoken about the stresses of uncertainty following her husband Kenny’s struggle with prostate cancer, revealing her fears of not knowing “what’s around the corner”.

During a candid conversation with DJ Annie MacManus on her Changes podcast, she disclosed that former Scotland rugby union player Kenny “had a rough couple of years” post-diagnosis.

She elaborated on the shock of the situation, stating: “He had prostate cancer a couple of years ago. That came as a bolt from the blue this is a really fit guy who had no symptoms at all.”

Expressing their outlook on life, Gabby mentioned that both she and Kenny are advocates for “seizing the day,” and are committed to making the most out of every moment life presents.
