Sharon Osbourne issues apology for cancelling appearance at event
Sharon Osbourne has announced that her and husband Ozzy Osbourne won’t be attending a fan convention next month, with her issuing an apology over it.
The couple and their children Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne are understood to have been due to attend the Mad Monster Party event in Arizona next month. Sharon has now announced that Jack will be attending without them.
She shared the news in a video message to fans that was posted on her Instagram Story overnight. Sharon apologised in the clip and suggested that those who had purchased meet and greet packages would be refunded.
She said: “Regretfully the Osbourne family have to cancel our upcoming appearance at the Mad Monster Party in Phoenix because Ozzy is unable to travel at this time. However Jack will be there flying the flag for the Osbournes. Everybody who bought the Osbourne package will of course get full refunds. We would like to thank you all for your constant support with Ozzy. It means so much to him, you have no idea. All I can do is apologise that we won’t be there and I’m apologising to the people we’ve let down from my heart. So god bless you all. Thank you so much.”
A synopsis for the event teases: “It’s a horror, sci-fi, and fantasy themed convention that brings the world’s top genre celebrities and exhibitors together with their fans to trade stories, attend informative panels, buy autographs, and fun merchandise, and visit with old friends – and meet new like minded monsters.”
The event is scheduled to take place next month from July 12 to 14. It’s website states that the Osbournes were due to be in appearance on all three days.
