Majory Featherman and Bernie Littman’s romance began over nine years ago when they met at a nursing home, both having been previously married.
Littman’s granddaughter, Sarah Sicherman, expressed the family’s joy at seeing him find companionship again. Despite their advanced age, Littman’s decision to remarry came as a surprise to many, as he had been married for 65 years to his late wife Bernice.
Their wedding, officiated by Rabbi Walberg, was a departure from modern-day unions, with the couple’s courtship evolving naturally over time rather than through dating apps. Rabbi Walberg praised their accumulated life wisdom and deep connection, highlighting the uniqueness of their bond.
The couple’s journey from friendship to marriage unfolded gradually, beginning with their first date nine years ago and culminating in a decision they felt was right for them.
Family and friends celebrated their union with messages of love and support, noting the joy in seeing them blossom together.
Additionally, Sicherman shared that they may soon hold a Guinness World Record for the oldest combined couple to marry, with a combined age exceeding 202 years.
