Rebel said she raised a complaint last year.

The movie was then slated to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, but Rebel claimed Amanda Ghost, Gregory Cameron and executive producer Vince Holden “buried it” in retaliation.

Culture Club star Boy George has now backed his close pal Amanda and accused Rebel of making up “outrageous and painfully untrue things”.

Rebel first went public with her explosive claims against the producers of the movie in a lengthy Instagram video.

When discussing it’s planned release for the Toronto Film Festival, she explained: “So to have the joy of the movie being selected is one thing.

“But then to have the business partners that are involved in that movie turn around and say that, ‘No, the movie can’t premiere,’ is just beyond devastating. Why are they saying this? Why are they stopping it from premiering at Toronto?

“Well, this dates back to October of last year, where I discovered bad behaviour by these business partners. I just tell it how it is. So I’m just going to tell you who they are, the so-called producers of the film.

“I use that phrase very lightly. Their names are Amanda Ghost and Gregory Cameron, and an executive producer who works with them called Vince Holden. So these are the people involved.”

Rebel went on to detail how she reported what she described as inappropriate behaviour of the married couple and executive producer Vince after allegedly discovering there had been “inappropriate behaviour” towards the movie’s lead actor.

Rebel continued: “And so I reported their bad behaviour when I found out.

“So kind of really important things. Since I reported that behaviour, I have been met with absolute viciousness and retaliatory behaviour.

“So I’m there on set. I’m trying to film my movie with my gorgeous Australian cast and crew who are so amazing shout out to all of you guys.

“And yet every step of the way, these people who I complained about then tried to make my life hell.”

Rebel further branded their behaviour as “vile and disgusting”.

In his Instagram video response, Boy George directly tagged Rebel Wilson and insisted that he knew “these things aren’t true”.

He said: “I just can’t sit here and listen to this and listen to the comments that people are making without knowing any information.

“I met Amanda when she was 17 years old and she was working in a club and I’ve watched her rise to become the president of Sony Music to running a film company and she is a strong powerful woman.

It is not the first time that Rebel has suggested that someone else had attempted to block the release of her work.

She previously accused actor Sacha Baron Cohen of attempting to block the release of her explosive memoir in which she detailed a number of claims about him from their time working on the movie The Brothers Grimsby.

At the time, Rebel defiantly declared on Instagram, amid the legal dispute regarding the contents of her book: “I will not be bullied or silenced by high-priced lawyers or PR crisis managers.

“The a**hole that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen.”

The Sun has contacted representatives for Rebel Wilson, Boy George and Amanda Ghost for comment.
