Rav Wilding, the 46 year old presenter of BBC’s hit series Scam Interceptors and Morning Live, had a challenging journey in his television career. The show sees him team up with ethical hackers to track down scammers using advanced technology.
Recently, Rav announced his separation from his wife, Jill Morgan, after 12 years of marriage. His personal life isn’t the only area where he’s faced difficulties; an accident ten years ago left him critically ill.
In 2013, while participating in ITV’s Splash!, Rav suffered a severe mishap that resulted in a substantial five-figure compensation for lost income. The incident led to a blood clot in his lung.
At the age of 36, Rav had to withdraw from the second season of Olympic diver Tom Daley’s programme due to a leg injury sustained during practice, reports OK!.
He experienced a hamstring avulsion, a condition where the tendon tears away from the pelvis, requiring surgery just before Christmas.

However, on New Year’s Eve of the same year, Rav collapsed in front of his then-partner, Loose Women producer Jill Morgan, due to intense chest pain, leading to an emergency hospital visit.
Although initially given the all-clear and discharged the next day, the chest pains soon returned, prompting Jill to urgently call an ambulance again.
It is believed that the clot developed because Rav’s mobility was restricted by a leg brace he had to wear following the accident.
After undergoing surgery to remove the clot, Rav continued to need regular medical follow-ups and physical therapy sessions.

He opened up about his ordeal, stating: “It’s been so hard. At one point the surgeon basically said I could die.”
The harrowing incident forced Rav out of work for some time, leading him to turn down a lucrative television opportunity set for the following January.
Additionally, he had to postpone his wedding with then-fiancee Jill Morgan, which was originally planned for the summer. The pair eventually married in May 2017.
Rav filed an insurance claim against Twofour, the production company behind Splash!, seeking compensation in the tens of thousands for the trauma he endured.

A close source disclosed: “The insurers have since paid out. Rav loved the show but he has lost so much work because of the injury he suffered. It’s been awful for him.”
During the Tesco mum Of The Year awards, alongside his now ex-wife Jill, Rav admitted that recent times had been “tough”.
Keen to get back on track, he shared: “I just can’t wait to get back to work.”
At the time, a spokesperson for Twofour chose not to comment on the ongoing claim.
