Police have said that the bodies of a man and a woman have been found inside a property in Cannock, Staffordshire. One of the victims in the suspected double murder has been identified as a star on a Channel 4 show.

22-year-old Lauren Evans and 24-year-old Daniel Duffield have been identified by the police, it has been reported. MailOnline has reported that Daniel was a paramedic who appeared on Channel 4’s 999: On the Frontline.

Staffordshire police were called to a property in Cannock at around 12.30pm on Tuesday. A double murder investigation has now been launched.

Staffordshire Police said in a statement: “Specially-trained officers have been assigned to support their families at this tragic time.

“A cordon has been set up in the area whilst we carry out enquiries to understand the circumstances of the deaths. We’d like to ask people not to speculate whilst we do this.

“We’ve created an online portal where people can leave information they may have. You can access the Major Incident Public Portal, here: Public Portal (mipp.police.uk)”.

Daniel’s on-screen partner Ellie has paid an emotional tribute to him online. He appeared on the eleventh show of the Channel 4 series.

The student paramedic wrote: ” Never in a million years did I think I’d have to sit and write this and yet I’m still trying to come to terms with it.

“I just want to express how special you [were] to me, not only my best friend at work and the best crew mate but one of my best friends who had a massive impact on day to day life, the most kind hearted person who always had time to help others, who made me laugh every day and always would pick up the phone whenever I was in need.

“Dan I can’t believe you’re actually gone.

“We were meant to go out together this week and I was looking forward to seeing you. Even the phone call we had this morning an hour before you [were] gone I’ll never forget, love you forever Dan.”
