Jennifer Lopez Oozes Rich Mom Energy on Broadway Date With Emme

Who needs quiet luxury when you have the “rich mom” trend? The latest celebrity to embrace the fad is none other than Jennifer Lopez, who late last night shared an array of photos to Instagram that documented her Sunday in New York City.

The “Can’t Get Enough” singer ventured out in Manhattan with 16-year-old daughter Emme to see Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway. The 1981 Stephen Sondheim musical currently stars Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff, and Lindsay Mendez.

Jennifer posted backstage photos of Jonathan embracing Emme as well as a photo of herself hugging her daughter tight to her chest. In the snap, Jennifer shines in a vibrant green monochrome outfit composed of a collared blouse with billowing sleeves. She topped off the look with lavender-tinted octagonal shades from Chloé, gold Jennifer Fisher hoop earrings, and a diamond-encrusted gold lion-head bracelet from Van Cleef & Arpels. Emme wore a boxy black collared button-up.

Jennifer aptly captioned the post, “A Merry Sunday @merrilyonbway.”

Elsewhere in the Sunday photo dump, the multi-hyphenate shared a glimpse of her other outfits from the day. One bathroom mirror selfie showed off a luxurious athleisure look consisting of an olive-green sports bra and yoga leggings, while another snap captured Jennifer looking cozy in a ribbed stone-gray turtleneck sweater.

Jennifer shares twins Emme and brother Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

“The teenage years are tough. They start challenging you,” Jennifer said of raising teens during a guest appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark in May 2023. “You have this baby for a while and then it’s like your best little friend who loves being with you all the time, and all of a sudden they’re like, ‘Get out of my room.’ ”

She continued, “It’s the time when they are individuating and they are challenging everything you say and everything you do and everything you are. And that’s what it is. And you have to kind of just ride the waves. I feel like it’s like surfing. I’m just riding the waves—whoops, just got knocked over! Now, I’m back! I’m back!”
